Properties & Traditions
Feeling whole again is slow work, and seraphinite keeps gentle company with it, letting light back into a heart that has been holding on. Turn it slowly and a silvery shimmer opens through the deep green like light moving under water, and it is easy to see why it was named for the seraphim, the highest order of angels. It comes from a single small area of eastern Siberia, in the Irkutsk region of Russia, a gem form of clinochlore so soft that it is shaped into smooth cabochons and beads rather than faceted, which only adds to its velvety calm.
Seraphinite came into crystal practice only recently, and that practice links it particularly to the Heart Chakra of the Hindu and Vedic chakra system, while holding that its energy rises gently through every chakra in turn.
Today seraphinite is cherished as a stone of emotional renewal and a link to the angelic realm, there for brightening our spirit and bringing the whole self back into balance. It is known for releasing old emotional patterns, for tenderness and a sense of order, and for smoothing the way to reconciliation. The tradition links it to the heart and lungs, and many of us love it for a quiet feminine energy that welcomes an awareness of the Divine Feminine.

Our team's experience
Seraphinite is one of those stones you tilt without thinking, because the silver feathering moves: one angle shows dark green velvet, the next a burst of silvery wings across the surface. It is smooth and cool to the touch, and lighter on the skin than you might expect. Every piece has its own pattern, so choosing one is a slow, happy business. It suits anyone in a tender, mending season, and anyone drawn to angels who simply wants something beautiful to wear close.
How our customers use it
Seraphinite is usually worn in rings, earrings and pendants, where its shimmer catches the eye through the day. Many people wear it through a time of emotional healing, as a gentle reminder to keep coming back to themselves, and some choose it for meditation when they long to feel close to the angelic. It is a tender gift for someone mending a friendship or a family rift, and a favourite for anyone who loves deep greens.
Care notes
Seraphinite is soft (Mohs 2-2.5) and scratches easily, so take rings off for work and keep it away from harder stones. Wipe it with a damp soft cloth rather than soaking it, and cleanse with sound or moonlight.
